Technology and Software Support

Consultum has developed a unique software solution for advisers utilising Xplan. It enables us to deliver our intellectual property including client management, platform data feeds, advice templates, marketing collateral, approved product lists and model portfolios all in one system, while helping to reduce your costs and administrative burden.

The Consultum Xplan software solution is supported by a specialised, dedicated team of full time in-house Software Consultants who will spend time with you at your practice to enhance your software experience.  Additionally they provide consultation on the transition of your business to Xplan, as well as training, coaching and helpdesk functionalities.

Board of Advice and Committees

While Consultum is backed by IOOF Ltd, it’s run by its own board and an adviser represented Board of Advice – a panel of advisers who review and contribute to all aspects of dealer group policy. Advisers also have input into and influence over Consultum’s Research & Investment and Software Committees.

Business Improvement Program

Using a range of industry-leading financial modeling tools, our Business Improvement Program helps our advisers segment their client base, create a relevant value proposition, develop a strategic and sustainable business plan and address important issues such as succession planning.

Attractive Rebate Program

Consultum offers a competitive and attractive operating model that rewards advisers based on their overall revenue generation and not product specific sales.

Cadetship Program

Consultum recognises the need for professional businesses to have a succession plan. Our Cadetship Program assists Authorised Representatives in employing an additional Authorised Representative for their business. Funding is provided in Year 1, reliving financial pressure on your business.

Consultum also provides assistance to the practice in terms of recruitment strategy, job description documents, interview processes, templates for letters of offer and information on likely salary ranges.

Equity in an ASX listed company

We’ve negotiated a unique and valuable opportunity for advisers to receive equity in IOOF Holdings Ltd (IOOF). While a number of dealer groups may offer equity to advisers, very few offer it in an ASX listed company.
In our Equity Program,  a pool of IOOF shares are awarded to the top 30% of Consultum’s business writing advisers. Qualification will be based on individual adviser production of revenue over a financial year. The pool of shres is allocated as follows:

• Top 10% receive 50% of the pool
• Next 10% receive 30% of the pool
• Next 10% receive 20% of the pool
