Limited / Risk specialist authorisation

These authorisations allow you to provide personal advice on a limited range of products and services and in line with your business requirements. Our regional managers can work with you to determine the most suitable option.

SMSF specialist authorisation

If you are an accountant, an SMSF specialist authorisation allows you to provide advice on self-managed superannuation funds without needing to become a financial adviser. It allows you to provide general advice in the following areas:

  • Superannuation - recommendations that consider a client’s existing super fund in order to establish an SMSF, provision of advice on contributions or pensions and set-up/establishment of an SMSF.
  • Basic deposit products eg term deposits, online savings accounts, first home savers accounts.
  • Class of product advice on super, risk insurance, securities, managed investment schemes.
